Ethiopia’s first Coronavirus laboratory test kit factory inaugurated

The factory, which was established in collaboration with the Ethiopian government and China’s BGI Health, was inaugurated today by His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on his part said the construction of the factory will help in the prevention of the disease by increasing the capacity of the third level in Africa and helping Ethiopia to prevent the disease by exporting it to other African countries if it meets its needs.
The factory, built at Bole Lemi Industrial Park, is said to produce 10 million kits a year and will produce laboratory test kits for HIV and TB after Corona disappears.
